Adventures At SeaQuest

March 27, 2017

If you haven’t been to SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium yet – DEFINITELY GO!!! I feel like it’s a great experience for any age! We have gone numerous times with our family and friends of all ages and had a great time, every time! This place offers such a wonderful unique bonding experience for you and your whole family. With our busy lives, it’s nice just to get away on a little field trip with our loved ones, to enjoy those special moments.

Fun First time Experiences for the Whole Family

Our daughter, who is almost 2 years old, has so much fun at SeaQuest! I even had a couple of first time experiences myself, such as holding a Parrot, and sitting in a room full of cute little Parakeets that sit and play on your arms. These were very unique experiences that I haven’t had anywhere else, and made me feel like a kid again; what’s even more amazing is being able to have something be my first-time experience as well as my daughter’s. I got that giddiness kids get when learning and exploring the world for the first time; being able to see the reaction on my daughter’s face, knowing she felt the same way – was priceless! I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous about holding the birds, but the animals at SeaQuest are very friendly, and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. You can purchase tokens to feed the animals – we thought this was particularly fun in the Parakeet room. The birds will fly down from the branches, surround you and eat food from your hand – it’s a magical experience.

SeaQuest is truly a hands-on experience, with everything inviting you to interact! The aquarium features Exotic Fish, Eels (interesting, but a little creepy), Sea Horses, Sharks, Birds, Snakes, Frogs, Lizards, Turtles and more. Every exhibit welcomes you to see, touch, and be hands on. You can pet the animals, feed the animals, and there is a cute huge Tortoise that just roams around freely – it’s quite a sight to see! Our daughter loved petting the Tortoise and walking around with him (or her). Unlike other places that ask you not to touch the animals, SeaQuest invites you to do the exact opposite – and satisfies your inner childlike curiosity.
