Going back in time at Bonnie Springs

March 16, 2017

Hi Guys!!

Thought I’d say Hi, and share our adventure today! We went to Bonnie Springs, it’s a cute little Old Western Town out by Red Rock, my Husband and I have gone before – but haven’t taken our daughter yet. Our daughter, Lily loves animals so we thought she’d enjoy it a lot!

Bonnie Springs is a really cute place, featuring an old Western Town with a Cowboy show, antiques, and they offer those black and white pictures where you get to dress up like you were in the 1880’s as a Cowboy, or Cowgirl! I’ve done this with my Mom and sisters, but have yet to take a picture with my own little family. I took a quick glance at how much these pictures were and for 2 people it was $18, and for 3 people $20, the price goes up just a little for each additional person.

Before, Bonnie Springs didn’t charge admission – now they do.
Pricing includes admission to the old town & the petting zoo, which is non-profit:

Ages 1-11 $7
Ages 12+ $10

The zoo keeper was really nice and kept the zoo very clean!

From Bonnie Spring’s website it looks like they offer horseback riding, pony rides, rock climbing, the petting zoo and train rides. During our visit today, we only walked the grounds, explored the old town and the petting zoo. It was lots of fun!!

I’ve eaten at the restaurant on site before – and the food was pretty good! Outside the restaurant is a pond filled with Turtles and Ducks. Just coming out to Bonnie Springs is amazing and takes you away from the city, physically and mentally. There are Peacocks roaming the grounds freely, you can see them without paying admission to the zoo. The horses are also located outside of the zoo, so you can take a peek at them! There is also a ginormous bull!

For all you Zombie lovers – they are holding a Zombie Paintball event, I believe Saturday, March 25, 2017 (Please call them to double check – I quickly glanced at the flyer on our way out). I also know during Halloween they make it really spooky – you won’t catch me out there during that time of the year!!

I’d recommend visiting before it gets too hot this summer – it’s a nice little town that takes you back in time and a different place.
